Andela set out as a company to advance human potential by investing heavily in building technology leaders for the future, and we have continued to record tremendous success. Our work with the Andela Learning Community is proof – in collaboration with partners like Udacity, Google and PluralSight, we have trained over 30,000 learners in Mobile & Web development, Google Cloud Technology, etc, as we march on towards our bold mission of training 100,000 software engineers across Africa in 10 years.
We recently launched the talent marketplace for graduates of the ALC program to enable us to continue providing opportunities for them by connecting them with employers of labour in their local ecosystems. We are running a pilot program in Nigeria in collaboration with Stutern, an already existing Talent Marketplace with experience in matching graduates with employers in this market.
Why We’re Building This
We know how difficult it is to find and hire good talent. Often, it’s not for a lack of talent that the hiring process is tedious, but because recruiters often don’t have a go-to place to select said talent from. This is one of the problems the Andela Talent Marketplace will solve. We’re aggregating a pool of technical talent who have completed the ALC program. Interested employers and recruiters will be able to choose and hire talent from that pool.
We also believe it will afford ALC graduates the opportunity to move farther along in their journeys to being technology leaders, alongside growing the local tech ecosystem.
How it Works
Are you an employer looking to hire entry-level software engineers (or you’re filling another entry-level technical role)? If you would like to save time on finding suitable talent for your company, you can request and get granted access to the ALC graduates on our Talent Marketplace by filling out this form. Someone from the team will get in touch with you afterward to help with the next steps.
Look out for further communications on this program on our social channels or on this blog.
